How It Works
Four-Step Positioning Process
From LED modulation to live floor-map display — GPS-free positioning in four deterministic steps.
LED Signal Broadcast
Each OCC anchor module embedded in an LED luminaire transmits a high-speed modulated optical signal at 120 fps or faster. The signal encodes the anchor's unique ID and three-dimensional coordinates, invisible to the human eye.
Camera Reception
A standard smartphone camera captures the modulated light pattern via its rolling-shutter mechanism. No dedicated receiver hardware is required — any modern smartphone suffices.
Signal Decoding
The OL-IN app decodes the OCC signal from each video frame in real time, extracting the anchor's ID and coordinate payload. Per-frame decode latency is approximately 30 ms.
Position Calculation
Decoded anchor coordinates are fused with a pre-registered spatial map to compute the user's X, Y, and Z position in real time, then displayed as a live dot on the indoor floor map.

OCC modules attach to installed LED luminaires. No dedicated beacons, no UWB anchors — only a small module per fixture.
No Radio Interference
Visible-light communication operates outside the RF spectrum, making it reliable in RF-congested facilities such as hospitals and factories.
High Positioning Accuracy
Sub-1 meter accuracy indoors, scalable with anchor density — consistently outperforming BLE beacon systems.
Receive-Only Terminal
